He was predeceased by: his parents, Layton L. Rodgers, Sr. and Helen Jerky Rodgers. He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Ann Wethington Rodgers; his children, Dewayne Richardson (Melissa Legault) of Hustonville, Joey Daniel (Georgia) of Liberty, Lacy Marie of Indiana and Becky Wesley (Tyler Cochran) of Liberty; his siblings, Leslie Rodgers, Jr. of Colorado, Patrecia Young of Lebanon and Bridgett Hill of Utah; and his aunts, Pam Price of Liberty, Pearl Field of Ohio, Retha Drostie of Mississippi and Sandra Mills of Louisville. He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McKinney-Brown Funeral Home (752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY 42539). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
