He was predeceased by: his mother Wilma Jean Herren Hunt. He is survived by: his sons, Scotty Herren of Franklin, Indiana and Troy Herren of Franklin, Indiana; his grandchildren, Madeline, Amelia, Christopher, Ace and Abe; his great grandchildren, Hendryx and Oakland; and his siblings, Frank Snider (Wilda), James A. McFarland, Jesse McFarland (Candy), Chris McFarland (Connie) and Carol McFarland.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the McKinney-Brown Funeral Home (752 Campbellsville St, Liberty, KY 42539). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
