It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Scotland Ellis of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Mount Olivet, Kentucky, who passed away on August 15, 2021, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Emmit Ellis and Chloe Brumagen Ellis; and his son William Stephen Ellis. He is survived by: his children, Angela Ellis Hoffman (Al), Tim Ellis (Susan) and Johnathan Michael Ellis (Mary Ann); and his grandchildren, Aaron Ellis, Jacob Ellis, Trinity Powell, Justus Ellis, Alden Ellis, Sam Ellis, Billy Hoffman and Dylan Hoffman. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and a brother.
