Bob Drewitt wrote a sympathy message

“I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my old friend, Bill. Knew and bowled with Bill (and Mace!) decades ago in Buffalo. Had the honor to be at his USBC award presentation in Las Vegas, and, even more special, to be able to bowl with Kenneth, Darien, and Jeffrey (my doubles partner!) at Nationals. Will treasure the pictures, and, most importantly, the memories. Rest in Peace, my friend. Peace and blessings to Nancy and family.”

George Kraft wrote a sympathy message

“We have known the Hohensee family for years and yes because of bowling. We bowled with Bill for years as I know many have but coaching with Bill and Nancy on Saturday mornings and being on the same team with Bill and his sons for years has given me memories I’ll never forget. Bill was a special person. He will be missed. George Kraft and Family”
