He was predeceased by: his parents, John Howard and Ann Allender Howard; his siblings, John Howard and Noreen Flora; and his father-in-law Michael Kasperbauer.
He is survived by: his close friend Maria; his daughters, Kathleen and Rebecca; his wife Maria Howard (Kasperbauer); his son Will Howard; his siblings, Liz Doyle, Katie Banks (Glen), Maggie Howard and Tom Howard; and his nephew Casey Flora. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
