He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Ellis and Leeolie Caudill Simpson; his brother Silver Ellis Simpson; and his daughter-in-law Denise Comer Simpson. He is survived by: his wife Donna Jean McGuire Simpson; his sons, Tim Simpson (Markus) of Lexington and Tony Simpson (Kathy) of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jordan, Curtis and Natalie; and his great grandchildren, Johnathan Vandeluer and Haleigh Martin.
