It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Dean of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, who passed away on June 1, 2023, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wayne Dean to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his father Worley Otis. He is survived by: his brother Glenn Dean; his brother-in-law Bud Moyer; his wife Judy; his daughters, Melanie Uhls (Jason) of Lexington and Dee Dee Barfield (Steve) of Ashland; his grandchildren, Leigha Barfield, Anna Brooke Barfield, McKenna Barfield Jessee, Riley Uhls, Sara Kate Barfield and Reed Uhls; and his sisters, Jeri Lee Leeper of Parowan, UT and Gay Federico of Turner, OR. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the local hospice care that took loving care of Wayne and continues to care for Judy at http://www.bgcarenav.org. Alternatively, donations can also be made to the dialysis center where Wayne spent many hours with their faithful and caring staff.
