He is survived by : his wife Christa Petersitzky Schmidt of Lexington; his children, Andrew Schmidt (Melia) of Lexington and Doreen Squier (Jerry) of Lexington; and his granddaughters, Mary-Katherine Schmidt, Ava-Caroline Schmidt and Brooke McKenzie Squier.
