It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vernon Ray Shepard (Lexington, Kentucky), born in Versailles, Kentucky, who passed away on January 23, 2021, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Elwood S. and Mary Frances Courtney Shepard Sr.; and his sister Pamela Joy Shepard Tipton. He is survived by: his siblings, Veronica "Gay" Kenney (Bill), Larry Douglas Shepard and Elwood S. "Butch" Shepard (Rebecca); his nephews, William Kenney (Emily) and Brandon Simpson; his great-nieces, Autumn Lee Detalente, Holly Ray Detalente and Katherine Grace Deathrage; and his great-nephew Andrew Gunter Banahan.
