It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vada Rea Abshear (Lexington, Kentucky), born in Dayton, Ohio, who passed away on November 17, 2020, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Raymond Howell and Lelah White Williams Howell; her husband Cleveland Brown Abshear; and her siblings, Mary "Kay" Christopher, Wilda Elliott, Wilma Woodley, Chock Howell and Bill Howell.

She is survived by: her daughters, Deborah Ann Calvert and Lexington Marthalyn Brown Blythe; and her sister Shirley Hellmueller. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren.
