Tom Phillips Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Tom Phillips of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on May 22, 2023 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his sister Martha Jane; his brother-in-law Tebbs S. Moore; his aunt Martha Cotton; his uncle Harry S. Schultz; and his parents-in-law, Dr. Horace T. and Willa Mae Squifflet.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Squifflet Phillips; his children, Emily Phillips Gaunce (Brent) of Carlisle and William Michael "Will" Gaunce; his siblings-in-law, Jean Wheatley and Mary Ann Witt (Victor); and his nieces and nephews, Hart Moore (Shauna), Elizabeth Hammelrath (Steve), Catherine Lane (Arthur) and Alison Calhoun (Kevin).
As such, memorial contributions are encouraged to the PGA Junior League Program in lieu of flowers.
