He was predeceased by: his father William B. Shorter. He is survived by: his son Lucas B. Shorter; his mother Martha C. Shorter; his siblings, Karen O. Piazza, Joan S. Palmore and Matthew Shorter (Angela); and his nephew Blake Shorter.
