She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Mellinger and Jerry Helvie Mellinger; and her pets, Jock, Chelsea and Milo.

She is survived by: her spouse Herb Ashcraft; her children, Jay Ashcraft (Allyson) of Richmond, VA and Megan Harney (Brandon) of Lexington; her grandchildren, Will, Annie Ashcraft, Mckenzie, Bryce, Blake and Brody Harney; her sister Mary Jo Mellinger of Akron, OH; and her sister-in-law Mary Jean Blackford (Tuck) of Nicholasville.
