He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. York and Helen Satterly York; and his sister Denise King York. He is survived by: his siblings, Jeff York of Cynthiana, Marty York of Lexington and Debra Sudduth (Norton) of Frankfort; his nephews, Brian Sudduth (Jennifer), Jason Sudduth and Chris York (Lacey); and his niece Kayla York.

Visitation was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home (112 N Walnut St, Cynthiana, KY 41031). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Battle Grove Cemetery (531 E Pike St, Cynthiana, KY 41031).
