She is survived by: her mother Zella Mae Gills (Rosie); her husband Marcus Evans, Sr.; her fiancé Charles Hawthorne; her daughters, Ta'Shyania Gills and Tasha Marshall; her stepson Marcus Evans Jr.; her sister Lawanda Ann Gills; her grandson Tay'Chone Gills; her niece Justice Young; her nephew Justin Barbour; her great-nephew Masiyah Wells; her uncle Clarence Gills; her aunts, Opal Gills, Patricia West, Deborah McLemore (Willie), Betty Freeman and Shirley Gills; her mother-in-law Georgia Evans; and her brothers-in-law, Bobby Evans Jr. and Arthur Scott. She is also survived by cousins, and other relatives and friends.
During her time in Louisville she was an entrepreneur owning two businesses; Marshall's Foundation a non-profit Organization and Taxes by Tasha.
