She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Tessmer and Catherine Bishop Tessmer; and her siblings, Eileen, Ernie and Maxine.
She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Showalter; her children, Brent (late Christine) of Lexington, KY, Dean Showalter of Lexington, KY, Eric Showalter (Sandi) of Columbus, OH and Lynn Vitale (Charles) of Hamilton, OH; her grandchildren, Megan, Alan, Emily, Kaylee and Stephanie; and her great grandchild Jade.
