She was predeceased by: her husband Ralph Welch; her parents, Drusie Hill and Julian Hill of Verdunville; and her sisters, Donna Jean McKenzie and Billie Mullins.
She is survived by: her granddaughter Kara Shannon Haney; her great grandchildren, Chase of Lexington, Cameron of Lexington and Colton Haney of Lexington; her niece Glenna Johnson of Conway; and her nephew Jaime Mullins of Logan.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Kerr Brothers Funeral Home - Harrodsburg Rd (3421 Harrodsburg Rd, Lexington, KY 40513). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Southern Heights Baptist Church, 3408 Clays Mill Road, Lexington, Kentucky 40503, where Shirley was a member.
