She was predeceased by: her parents, C. R. and Katherine; her son Jason Lee Goodpaster; her half-brother Lawrence Brown; and her grandson Jacob Covey.

She is survived by: her husband Kenneth R. Goodpaster; her sons, Kenneth K. Goodpaster (Barbara), James "Chris" Goodpaster (Penny) and Carl A. Goodpaster (Lacreasha); and her sisters, Virginia Reid and Sue Neff. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
