She is survived by: her parents, Donna Sue Akuchie (Kinney) of Mansfield and El "Eleazer" Akuchie; her siblings, Julianna Akuchie of Mansfield, Joy Dorsch (Lucas) of Lakewood, Naomi Cantwell (Jimmy) of Erlanger, Kentucky and Eleazer "Chuky" Akuchie (Keylin) of Dallas, Texas; her nephew Vaughn Ozioma Dorsch; her cousin Abigail Kinney of Columbus; and her aunts and uncles, Aaron Akuchie, Miriam Anozie, Comfort Ohanyere, Chineye Akuchie, Ndu Akuchie and Larry Kinney.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are encouraged to a fund that will be established in Ruthie's memory for the advancement of minority artists in the Mansfield area.
