She was predeceased by: her parents, Oscar Taylor and Jessie Benton Newby; her son Alan Taylor Hall; and her siblings, Elizabeth Saylor, Kathleen Kearns, Marilyn McAlister, Ellen Garrison, Lee Peters, Shirley Wilder and Claude Allen Newby.

She is survived by: her close friend Charles E. Hall of Lexington; her son William Charles (Chuck); her daughter-in-law Bonnie Layman Hall of Nicholasville; her grandchildren, Jonathan Hall of Georgetown and Lyn Hall Amsler (Douglas) of Louisville; her daughter-in-law Lisa Ray Hall of Lexington; and her siblings-in-law, Lida Newby of Lexington and Don Wilder of Versailles. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to Immanuel Baptist Church 3100 Tates Creek Rd, Lexington, KY 40502.
