He was predeceased by: his parents, F. E. Sams and Mary Ruth Sams; and his brother Kerry Sams. He is survived by: his children, Justin Sams of Georgetown, KY and Alicen Osborne of Lexington, KY; his brother Brian Sams (Tammy); his grandsons, Tyler Sams and Tanner Sams; his nieces, Sarah Martin and Rebekah Sams; and his nephew Josh Sams.
The family has asked that memorials in lieu of flowers, may be donated to Spurlin Funeral Home to help with burial expenses.
