With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roberta Jo Mays in Lexington, Kentucky, born in Irvine, Kentucky, who passed away on March 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Jewel Mays Hurst; and her brother Lantie Hurst. She is survived by: her brother Eugene Hurst (Debbie Hurst); her nephew Lance Hurst (Jennifer Hurst); her great-niece Makenna Hurst; and her close friends, Lorna Bell Bundy-Jones, Lynn, Paul Garrod and Margaret Oliver.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the American Hearing Research Foundation, 154 W. Park Avenue, #586, Elmhurst, IL 60126.
