He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kandt and Ruth Meier Kandt. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Dixon Kandt; his daughter Sara Galyon (Matt); his grandchildren, Asher and Sky; his son Ben Starling (Taylor); and his siblings, Barbara Kandt, Karen Meyer (Mark), Susan Kandt and Charles Kandt (LuAnn). He is also survived by several nieces, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, and many friends.
