He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Flynn and Delina Brandenberg Flynn; his daughter Melanie Dee Flynn; his siblings, Melvin Flynn, Jimmy Flynn and Betty Bishop; and his grandmother Richie.
He is survived by: his wife Ella Ritchey Crowe Flynn; his sons, Robert D. Flynn Jr. (Olga) of Lexington, KY and Bradley Clark Flynn (Leslie) of Nicholasville, KY; his granddaughter Chase Marie Flynn; and his siblings, Norris Flynn and Joyce Bouch.
