It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita Elaine Sadowski in Lexington, Kentucky, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on August 2, 2024, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Phipps and Fern Phipps of Newton; and her brother-in-law Jay Pinkerton of Newton, KS.. She is survived by: her husband Allen Sadowski of Grantville, KS; her children, Tracy Rafferty (Todd) of Topeka, KS and Jeff Sadowski (Candace) of Paxico, KS; her stepdaughters, Tammy Thompson of Independence, MO and Sherri Watt (David) of Lee's Summit, MO.; her grandchildren, Brandon Fuller (Megan) of Pleasant Hill, MO, Ashley Andres (Gerren) of Topeka, KS, Heather Rafferty of Kansas City, MO, Amber Kurz (Jason) of Lee's Summit, MO and Brett Hoy (Jordan) of Lee's Summit, MO; her great grandchildren, Blair, Isla, Jude, Pearl, Mason, Cooper, River and Walker; and her siblings, Robin Pinkerton of Newton, KS and James Phipps (Vicki) of Paulden, AZ. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
