With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond E. Shely of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on October 29, 2020. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Raymond E. Shely to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Shely and Gippie Shely of Anderson County, Kentucky.; his wife Aileen; and his siblings, Nannie Stout, Bonnie Casey, William Shely and Harry Shely.

He is survived by: his children, Susan Paulette Craig (Bill) of Loveland, Patricia Ann Mahany (Tom) of Cincinnati, Alan Ray Shely (Carolyn) and Rebecca Elkins Yeary (Greg) of Lexington; his siblings, Thelma McGuire of Shelbyville, Mary Helen Welsh (Gene) of Lawrenceburg and Donald Shely (Ruby) of Lawrenceburg; and his sister-in-law Cora Mae Shely of Shelbyville. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Due to a family member with a compromised immune system, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Raymond's memory can be made to Broadway Christian Church, 187 N. Broadway Lexington KY 40507.
