He was predeceased by: his parents, Hatler Tackett and Maudie Fleming Tackett; and his siblings, Verlie, Goldie, Maxine, Dorothy, Frank and Gene.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Soard Tackett; his son David L. Tackett; his daughter-in-law Carla Loveless-Tackett; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Michael (Josh), Jourdan Loveless-Tackett and Zann Tackett; his great grandchildren, Joshua, Grayson, Henry Michael and Alexandria Tackett-Rodgers; his brother Lacey Tackett (Connie); and his mother-in-law Kathleen Voils.
