He is survived by: his wife Sarah Powell; his children, Brenda Crawford (Sonny), Patty Bruner and Mike Powell (Lisa); and his grandchildren, Michael Powell, Alise Powell, Ellen Earlywine and Alex Powell. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
