She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Walter Lay and Dorothy Lay; her brothers, Embry Lay and Bruce Lay; her uncle John; and her aunt Ruth Malone.
She is survived by: her husband Douglas Swiggett of Lexington, KY; her sons, David Cook of Lexington, KY, Steve Cook (Cindy Lynn) of Louisville, KY, John Cook of Lexington, KY, Adam Swiggett of Frankfort, KY and Ben Swiggett of Wilmington, NC; her brother John Lay of Elizabethtown; and her sisters-in-law, Judy Lay and Diane Lay of Cave City, KY. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
