With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Monnie Gay Long of Lexington, Kentucky, who passed away on August 2, 2022 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Elizabeth Caldwell Gay and Jacob Douglas Gay Jr.; and her son Joseph Andrew Owens III. She is survived by: her son Jacob Douglas Gay Owens; her daughter-in-law Jennifer Bova Owens; her grandsons, Walker Redding Owens and James Tarkington Owens; her niece Lucy Wood Tepper; and also Randy Allen Kemper.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Monnie's honor to Ashland Terrace, 475 South Ashland Avenue, Lexington Ky. 40502 or Garden Club of Lexington, PO Box 22095, Lexington, Ky 40522.
