She was predeceased by: her parents, Jethro Mullins and Hattie Bell Mullins; and her brothers, A. C. Elkins, Raymond Elkins and Reynold Elkins.

She is survived by: her daughter Rhonda Luray Mellert Garrett; her grandchildren, Taryn and Christian Garrett; her sister Geneva Elkins Dyer; her niece Shelia Keaton; and her great-niece Jamie Keaton.
