He is survived by: his children, Holly Ackerman (Wilson) and Michael Benton II (Carrie); and his granddaughters, Sarah E. Ackerman of Lexington, Emily E. Ackerman of Lexington, Abigayle A. Benton of Lexington and Lillian M. Benton of Lexington.
