It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Dewayne Hawkins of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Paris, Kentucky, who passed away on January 15, 2024, at the age of 61, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Elmer and Cozene Patterson Hawkins; and his brother Charles Griffin. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Crook Hawkins; his daughters, Valerie Richardson and Lindsey Coleman (Cornell II); his grandchildren, Treven Richardson, Titus Coleman, Houston Hall and ShaKai Dewayne Coleman; his great grandchild Xavier Hall; and his siblings, Vivian Hawkins Brooks, Timothy Hawkins (Connie), Stevie Hawkins (Jean), Vincent Hawkins (Melissa), Darrell Hawkins and Darwin Hawkins (Pam). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
