He was predeceased by: his wife Betty; his parents, Matthew Gibbs and Addie Taylor Gibbs; and his siblings, Luther, Paul, Tom, Edna, Edith and Ruby.
He is survived by: his daughters, Ellen Dennison (Kevin), Margaret Craig and Susan Meyer (Doug); his grandchildren, Cara Groth (Jason), Alyssa McSpadden (Andy), Allison Craig (Josh), Justin Craig (Lavinia), Matthew and Ashley Meyer; his great grandchildren, Madelyn, Wilson, Caroline, Luke, Silas, Tyler and Anna-Grace; his sister-in-law Glenda Akers (Don); and his siblings, James Gibbs and Peggy Darnell. He is also survived by daughters and granddaughters.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
