She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Clinton and Betty Jane Williams Fields; her husband Clyde Deaton; her son Clyde "Jay" Deaton, Jr.; and her sister Betsy Kay Fields Petty.
She is survived by: her daughter Wendy Smith (Paul) of Lexington; and her siblings, Lyna Jo Fields Cornett (Roland) and Paul Edward Fields (Sue).
