She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Kearney Hall and Dora Lewis Hall; and her son Julius Taylor. She is survived by: her children, James Braxton Speight, Jr. of Fayetteville, NC, Janice Leigh Debo of Redmond, Jerry Robert Speight of Sanford, NC and Judith Louise Gillikin of Fayetteville, NC.; her grandchildren, Joseph Speight (Emily Speight), Steven Braxton Speight and Samantha Leigh Gillikin; her nephews, Dr. C. Kearney Barton and Robert H. Barton; her niece Liz Wilson; and also Tamara Clark-Harris.
