It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Ballard of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts, who passed away on April 14, 2021, at the age of 101, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Joseph Somers and Sarah Margaret Olney Somers; her husband Captain Joseph Aloysius Ballard; her son John Ballard; and her siblings, Elinor Glynn, Ernest and John Somers.
She is survived by: her son Planter. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren.
