With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mary Alice Sparks of Lexington, Kentucky, born in Chevrolet, Kentucky, who passed away on September 18, 2020 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Roddy and Minnie Justice Roddy; and her siblings, Cecial, Ollie, Susie, Ruby, Emmitt, Edd, Hubert and John "J. C.".

She is survived by: her children, Roy Lee Sparks (Susie) of Lexington, KY and Donna Sue Powell; her grandchildren, Erin Tharp (Craig), Eric Sparks, Ashley Sullivan (Jeff) and Jared Powell; her great grandchildren, Haze, Jaxon Tharp, Tucker, Colton and Nate Sullivan; and her boyfriend Melvin Barden. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
