He is survived by: his wife Anna Fryman Long; his mother Patricia Clemons Jones of Dayton; his daughter April Bowen of Birmingham, Ala; his granddaughter Scarlett Bowen; his siblings, Lisa Long and Chris Long of Dayton; his adoptive son Bert Sheldon of Scott County; his sister-in-law Betty Higgins (Jimmy); his niece Samantha Gifford (Jamie); his nephew James C. Higgins; and his great-nieces, Julia and Taylor Gaines.
