Martin left this world on January 6, 2025 at the age of 61, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joanne Canning and Jack Canning; his father-in-law Bill Pratt; his brother-in-law Rodney Killingbeck; and his nephew Steven Canning.

He is survived by: his wife Jenna Canning; his daughters, Maggie Kippins (William), Bethany Padilla (Michael) and Tori Canning; his grandchildren, Sterling Kippins and Lorelei Padilla; his siblings, Patty Canning, John Canning, Elena Ford (Ed Downing) and Kathleen Killingbeck; his mother-in-law Mary Ellen Pratt; and his sister-in-law Lynne Pratt. He is also survived by his wife and daughters and later his sons-in-law and grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 12th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM and on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Church (601 Hill N Dale Rd, Lexington, KY 40503).
