He was predeceased by: his parents, James Kevin and Kathleen Kearns Charters; and his grandparents, Martin, Julia Kearns, Arthur and Helen Charters.

He is survived by: his wife Teresa Green Charters; and his daughter Jamaica Danielle Charters (Clyde Madison).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to the UK Markey Cancer Foundation at 115 Waller Avenue Suite 204 Lexington, KY 40503 or the Central Music Academy at 644 Georgetown Street Lexington, KY 40508.
