He is survived by: his wife Catherine Howe Hunt; his parent Billa Jean Osborne Hunt; his sons, Richard Spencer Hunt of Lexington and Matthew Lewis Hunt of Bowling Green; and his cousins, Jerry Fuller, Leigh Ann Isaac, Winston Gunnell and Anthony Gunnell.

The family suggests memorials to Second Presbyterian Church, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, or the National Model Railroad Association.
