She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh David and Elva Simmons; her husband Foxie Blanton; her daughter Susan Blanton Sturgeon; and her siblings, Hugh David Simmons Jr., Harold Simmons, Lucille Mullins and Roberta Gilbreath.
She is survived by: her son Steven Blanton (Cindy); her grandchildren, Jason Sturgeon, Kenna Lizer (Steven) and Karri Gomez (Alex); her great grandchildren, David Sturgeon, Lynnlee Lizer, Griffin Lizer and Vivienne Gomez; and her sister Grace Karam (Edmond). She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
