In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Marian Purdy had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Marian Purdy may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Francis Russell and Marie Purdy (Hall); and her brother Frank R. Purdy (Jacquie) of Lexington. She is survived by: her husband Arnold Doyle Baker; her children, Paul (Denise Lamb) and Patty Baker Cobb; and her grandchildren, Chase Cobb (Ashley), Aaron Cobb and Aubrey Warmouth (Zach). She is also survived by three great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Calvary Baptist Church (150 E High St, Lexington, KY 40507). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Marian's memory may be directed to Calvary Baptist Church.
