She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ruth Martin and Louis Franklin Benge; her husband Ben Woodard; her children, Bryan Daugherty (Amanda) and Laura Daugherty McDonald; her stepdaughter Heather O'Dea (Ken); her grandchildren, Declan, Colin, Elizabeth, Caroline and Sarah; and her siblings, Connie Bryant (Pat), Debra Wyatt (Tim), Roger, Leroy, Richard, Ronald (Patsy) and Andrew Benge.

For the people who have asked where they can donate in her honor, she volunteered at Habitat for Humanity of Lexington.
