He was predeceased by: his parents, Elnora Croft (Ford) and Lavert Croft; his siblings, Charles and Flossie; his grandmother Laura Allen; and his nephew Gregory Smith.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine; his children, Celeste, Joann, Catherine, Virginia and Mark (LaRiesa); his niece Versa Smith; and his aunt Esther Battle. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.
