He was predeceased by: his parents, Gano Fields, Sr. and Nancy Skinner Fields; his wife Jeannine Hiles Fields; and his siblings, Margie Denniston, Seena Ledford and Gano Fields, Jr..

He is survived by: his children, Melinda Massarone (Bill) and Michael Fields (Theresse); and his grandsons, Michael J. Fields, Nick Massarone and Loren Massarone Tweed (Jon).
