He was predeceased by : his parents, Billy McLean and Mattie Harper McLean; and his brothers, George McLean, Sammy McLean, Willie McLean and Jeffrey McLean.

He is survived by : his sisters, Patricia Brumfield (Jim), Sherry Sauls (Jeff), Alice Tubbs (Steve) and Paula Dunn (Danny); his aunt Georgia McLean; and his cousins, Barry Haney (Judy), Clay Haney, Carole Fox and Gina Clemons. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
