She is survived by: her husband Melvin Rister; her children, Carrie Smith (Kris) of South Shore and Kevin Brinkley; her stepson Robbie Rister (Dolores) of Lexington; her brother Larry Penix of Rubyville; and her grandchildren, Caleb Smith and Kandee Stroud.
