She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesse Whitaker and Laura Irene Gentry Whitaker; and her sister Wilma Colopy. She is survived by: her husband Billy Paul Smith of Beattyville; her children, Dean Yater of Hamilton, David Yater of Beattyville and John Yater of Hamilton, Ohio; her grandchildren, Samantha Richmond, Gerri, Tyler, Autumn Yater, Kindra Collins and Jerico Yater; her great grandchildren, Cade, Connor Richmond and Memphis Collins; and her brother Donnie Whitaker of Hamilton, Ohio. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
